All monies are receipted and disbursed by this office. This office also calculates the county payroll and employee benefits; administers and maintains the election system; issues transient merchant, auctioneer and liquor licenses; and is the custodian of the vital statistic records for the County.

Chief County Election Official Voter registration record keeping Prepare ballots for use in all elections in 23 county election precincts Secure and distribute to all precincts, supplies and equipment required Hold training session before each election for municipal and townships clerks and election judges Handling of all absentee ballot requests and voting procedures Receive and tabulate results of elections and file these results with the Secretary of State Member of County Canvassing Board to check tabulations Assurance of election certificates to qualified election winners
